I don't have any home redemy. I just picked up my boy from the vet on Sat. morning from his surgery. The stitches etc. are on the inside and you can barely see an incision. He told me that if I notice any change, ie: blood,pus, etc. that I needed to bring him in right away. I hear ya on the 50.00 but you also don't want a nasty infection that will cost more in the end. Maybe keep an eye on it and see, otherwise, maybe someone has a better idea of something you can put on it. I hear you on the collar, they are a pain!
