originally we were going to train tobey to go outside because we were first time owners and thought that all dogs need to go outside....BOY have a changed my perspective!! First of all, we got him in January and it was snowing that day, so when I set this tiny puppy in the snow, he looked up at me as if to say "You mean woman, pick me back up! I'm shivering to death!"
He had no clue what to do. so we trained him to potty pads thinking that after the winter was over, we'd get him to go outside. Now, 3 months later, I don't think i will ever train him to go outside. my mom thinks it is wrong and that all dogs need to pee outside, but I love it that in the middle of the night he will hop off the bed and go potty on his pad and then come back to bed and I just get to keep sleeping!!! That is worth the cost (only about $13 for 50 pads at walmart) and changing them once every morning. But that's just my experience....Good luck!
