we tried lots of things and some of it works sometimes, but the most effective thing when he really gets too growly and nips at us when we are playing is a little squirt of water in the face with a spray bottle. he HATES it so it stops him immediately. and it doesn't hurt him at all... i was a skeptic till we finally tried it. now i just have to set the spray bottle in the room and he will start behaving better!! hehe
