 How old is too old?
I know this is a bit off topic but will you be retiring this bitch now? My vet says that a 6 yr. old bitch is like a 44 yr. old woman. That would make an 8 yr. old in her late 50's wouldn't it? Most bitches are retired after 6 for a reason. Do you think that her age may have anything to do with this unusual birth? I know that when they are producing well and you might have to rehome them when they retire makes it hard to retire them. What are your considerations when continuing to breed this bitch? I'm not attacking, honestly. I have a 4 yr. old that I will someday face the same issue with.
