As long as your dog is healthy, I don't see it as a problem at 4lbs myself. Problems in whelping can happen in any dog, and there is such a thing as a vet to intervene and advise.
The dog originated in Scotland and was perfected as a tiny for the coal-mines of Yorkshire in England to catch rats.....they wanted the smallest to get into the crevices. If you were over here, you would see many small lines, and healthy litters too.....they are just small, not sold as a fashion item or for vast amounts more money - they are just our Yorkshire Terriers, and we love them all.

Thank you Debra, It's nice to know that someone around hear knows something about Yorkie History. And your right! A HEALTHY 4 lb Yorkie is alot better than a SICK OVER BREED 10 lb one.
