Lola's story sounds a lot like my precious Chester's (avatar photo). I rescued him off the street and spent at a minimum, $2500.00 over two years to nurse him back to health. He was 10-12 when I found him and we had the most wonderful five years together. I still ache for him, but have my two girl angels with me now.
As much as I love my two girls, and will most likely love a few more in my lifetime, no dog will EVER be as special as Chester. He was, in my life, the most perfect pet. You will never regret what you're doing. My door is open 24/7 to rescues.
I promise you, that dog knows what you've done for her and will have a bond with you she never knew possible. Your life is forever altered and the two of you are so lucky to have found each other.
