Daddy had 2 new bleeds today. I went to check on him during my lunch hour and had almost gotten back to work when my Mama called and said to turn around, they were rushing him to emergency surgery. They took him in at 1:20 and had to remove the rest of his colon. The surgery was finished at 4:30.

The surgeon didn't do a colostomy (THANK YOU GOD!) and left enough to connect the small intestine to the the stump he left of the colon.

When we went into his room, he looked me in the eye and said,"I don't want to hurt like this anymore. I want to go be with God.

I would give anything to take his pain. He's such a good man - he doesn't deserve this!
