Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. Didn't know that slugs can cause such a problem. My Sissy tried to eat a toad last year and although she spit it out, the toad did release it's toxins in her mouth which made her look like she was foaming at the mouth, then spitting again and again and shaking. Then the diarhhea began. It was a long, poopy night!! When we saw the vet in the morning for Sub-q fluids and medication, she explained that the toad isn't poisonous - but the toxins they release as their protection can make the tiny dogs really sick. Perhaps this is the same with a slug?
