I am sorry to hear that. Bitting is a very serious aggression problem, especially towards children because they can't defend themself. I saw an episode on dog whisperer recently on how to introduce dog to a newborn. Basically the dog needs to learn that you are the pack leader in the house. By extenion your child is the pack leader as well, and he needs to learn the boundry that attacking your child can never be tolerated.

Does he has any other behavior problems such as food aggression or toy possession issues? I think you need to consult a dog trainer/ behavior specialsit as soon as possible. Good luck.
