ok this is something Im curious about as well, my Pete is 2.5yrs and Ive always brought him to the groomer for his nails because Ive been too afraid. A couple days ago I decided to finally go at it myself, I have the stop bleed and a pair of small doggy clippers so I felt prepared. The thing I dont understand is no matter how small an amount I take off I always see a little black dot in the center, I decided to just do two clips or two small amounts from each nail. Is that really all it takes? Its been about a month since they were clipped last, I felt like they should need more clipped but sure enough they all had little black dots in the center. Any advice is appreciated, I figure its about time I start doing this myself
