i read it. it is very true. although my family have always adopted dogs from a shelter that are mutts, they were and are the most wonderful dogs, i stick w the purebreeds. we are lucky to have my parents b/c they will not have a purebred, they would rather take a mutt who needs a home. they have saved lots of dogs from shelters. i guess this is the reason for my desire to only have purebreds. Most dogs in shelters are of mixed breeds. i do not want to add to the shelters population.
