Aww. I think they find the leather seats cold as well as slippery (I know I always thought they were cold - my ex had a car with leather seats. We got car seat covers cos he didn't like all the scratchs on the leather - may be you can get away with that more manly car-related story.
Or to resolve the Ford / Chevy dilemma you could get a sticker like - "my other car is a dog sled" (you live in Alaska - how hard can that be?) and then when people see those two adorable faces instead of a husky they'll laugh and laugh and laugh. My Ford (festiva 3-door hatch back - not a coool truck) has a sticker on it that says "give way to Holdens" (Holdens are the Kiwi equivalent of a chevy). PS in NZ we'd call that a "ute" short for "utility vehicle". |
