I don't run with mine, but I think a stroller would be a great idea. I think the three wheeled ones are supposed to be best for running. You might want to look at those. If it were me I would start out and just walk them for 20 min or so until they are a little tired out. Then I would put them in the stroller. I bet they would love that.
