Hey Caren- you aren't pathetic at all! I'm the exact same with my mom. One year for mother's day I got my mom a gift certificate to Essentials for a mani and pedi and we went together. It was nice because it was a gift and a fun day together. Moms can be so hard to buy for. Good luck!
