She is having a bad reaction to the Bio Spot I put on all the dogs for fleas and ticks. I have used this stuff for at least 4 years on the other dogs and they have been fine.
They had to shave her a bit more where she was losing hair to get the hair away from the sores. Then they put some kind of steroid salve on it. She is still on her pain meds for her leg, taking antibiotics and Benadryl.
I thought I was saving money using the Bio Spot.
Cost me a lot more for this vet visit...
Question - I used Coat Handler Clarifying shampoo to get the Bio Spot off of her. The vet said to use Dawn dishwashing soap. Do you think the clarifying shampoo is enough? I mean, it's a really good shampoo. I hate to put dishwashing soap on my baby.
I bathed her twice in it and the vet said to bathe her 1-2 times a week for now.
