Forget LP my darling little 4lb butterball wasn't even born with a knee cap to begin with...we had to have surgery a couple months ago..but she was up and around in no time...I agree I've never heard of amputation, I would get another opinion...but don't worry should your baby need surgery they usually do pretty well and it is very common in this breed!
