I like YT the way it is. It is very easy on the eye and I don't get distracted.
However, I do like the idea of changing the color to a 'pale green' or 'pale yellow' and then back to this pale blue again, rotate the 'unisex' colors background as Shana mentioned.
Unfortunately, I would rather not see to many graphics or printed wallpaper though
