Same story here, I'm single, have to work full time. I had one little guy and thought, he's GOT to be bored. I got him a shih-poo bother, I mean brother. I'm not sure if being by himself bothered Otis as much as it bothered me. But I decided to have another dog baby. I leave the TV on, they perch themselves on the back of the couch and police the neighborhood from the front window. I'm sure they sleep a little too. Otis is 3 and Oliver is 1. Oliver plays a little too much still and drives Otis crazy sometimes, but they do love each other. I would definately say they are bonded. Getting another dog may mean a little more work, but it also means A LOT more love!!
