Every time they started barking, i shook the can and said QUIET. Now all i have to do is say QUIET, and they shut up. I keep the can handy and have only had to shake it a couple of time after that. They don't bark hardly at all now...at least i can control it with the shaker can. Yorkie ears are very sensitive so this really gets their attention fast and they stop.
Hope it helps you guys out too!
This really worked for us. I read about it somewhere on YT and thought I would give it a shot. We have a pug and a yorkie and they used to just bark and bark and bark . The problem got worse this spring when they began to bark at other dogs from inside the house. My husband thought I was nuts but now we have a "no bark" can. They have stopped barking considerably. Now they stop if we pick up the can or if we say "no bark". They even listen to my 7 year old when he says "no bark". Good Luck!
