My Otis stayed black. I kept expecting him to change but then someone told me to look at the roots of his hair. He never lightened. He's black, and he's beautiful!!! Check out my avatar and I'll post one more pic. notice the white blaze on his chest in the avatar, otherwise, beautiful black and gold
