I think you are wrong there. I would offer less, and have offered less, and their medical care would not be an issue. If yours are all sold ahead, then of course you would not take less, but not everyone's are sold ahead, and they might welcome an offer.
It has nothing to do with value or integrity or ability to pay. It's just good business. JMO
