OMG! I am glad to hear that he is okay.
We live by the natural forest in Arkansas and we have TONS of rattle snakes. We were told by the forestry service snake person that in our area, it is not uncommon to have 30 rattlesnakes on an acre!!! An acre!!! AND we have over 30acres!!! Whoa!
I have never been bit (thank goodness) and we live so far out, I would hate to think about if that ever happens.
I do kill just about every snake I see....expect for the ones I know are NOT venimous (black snakes, king snakes, etc). I actually like to have those around.
Most snakes will avoid you, but in this case, he couldn't avoid a human! Hee,hee.....silly man!
We, in fact, let Mojo out last week and I was walking behind him....we had just stepped off our front porch and I just happened to look over and there was a copperhead RIGHT there!!!!! I quickly scooped up Mojo and tossed him inside and grabbed a shovel and killed it! Whew! Close call!
Please keep us updated on your husbands condition!!!
