Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to start crating him more. We already use one at night, and he doesn't make a mess in it... so I know he can hold his bladder for 10 hrs or so. Not that I would leave him home in a crate that long. If I have to be gone too long, I'll bring him, and bring the crate in case I can't take him where I 'm going. Once he's fully potty trained, I can leave him in my office with Phoebe, who does great. She doesn't mess at all when I leave her. I'm afraid with an X pen he might try to climb, and get his legs caught in the side and get hurt.
He's too smart for his own good!
