I like the shapes of the first one, but it looks like it's lined in a satin-y materials. I know mine likes to dig in her bed, and I'm not sure how well it would hold up. It's hard to tell from teh pic, but it looks like the second one might be hard for your pup to climb over the sides to get into.
What I did for Tia was I bought 2, and then let her decide which one she liked best...she did have a favorite! We ended up buying a pillow bed also to keep on the main floor so she had a spot of her own in the living room and we didn't want to have to keep carrying her bed up and down the stairs everyday.
