my situation is similiar. we live out in "the country" and the back of our house backs up to acres and acres of a wooded area. we have seen hawks before,too but not often. after reading the posts over the weekend about them i always look to make sure nothing is around when we go out and i told them that romeo is NEVER to go out alone anymore! you always know when one is near - when it passes over you - on a sunny day that is - you see this big shadow move!
