Deer ticks are known to cause Lyme disease (in people, don't know about dogs) but I'm pretty sure they're in hot places so you should be safe in Chicago. Good luck!
Chicago gets hot during the summer...it was actually 80* here yesterday, but 2 weeks ago we had snow...

I'm afraid to have Rocky sleep in my bed I feel so bad for him, he's laying in his tent looking like he's sad, even though I didn't tell him yet that he has ticks, maybe becuse I was screaming when I saw it.
