I too have a Chihuahua, Chiquita, who we call "Chic" or sometimes "Chicklet". She's a short hair, so she sheds very little. Mostly her hair comes off on shirts, etc. when she is held against you. In addition to her I have 2 Yorkies and a VERY LARGE Sheltie (Collie sized)and let me tell you he IS a super-sized sheder. Chic is extremely affectionate and gets along great with all the other dogs. They all have little quirks and mannerisms, just like humans do. My husband is her favorite and she is a little jealous of his lap. She lets everyone know where they can sit or can't sit. As to the barking...the Sheltie is the worst. He alerts the others and when someone goes by or comes to the door it sounds just like a dog kennel.
