School Employees Praised for Actions in Keeping Out Teen Gunman

A 14 year old is in custody after Beaumont police say he tried to run into Ogden Elementary school with a gun.
Authorities say they responded to a call about a fight at about 10:45 a.m. Friday at a home several blocks away from the school on Victoria Street.
They say the teen ran from police and tried to enter the elementary school, but all the doors were locked.
Officers say a parent had seen police chasing the teen, and told the principal, who locked down the school.
The juvenile is on probation.
He now faces two counts of making terroristic threats, unlawfully carrying a weapon and evading police. |
