We watch the dog shows constantly. . . and I get caught up in the excitement, and that's just from watching on TV, lol. Anyway I'm looking for a long time mentor. And of course I'm willing to look for years to find a good quality show animal. I just love this breed. I hands down think they are the smartest, sweetest, bravest, most beautiful dogs in the world. I'm a writer also, and I'm in the process of putting together a book about Yorkies. The more research I do; the more showing calls out to me.
Hoping someone can point me into the right direction!

I'm gonna step up to the plate here:
The best way to find a mentor is to attend dog shows.....meet and familiarize yourself with them, learn the dogs (this is the only way you can find what your preference is in type). This is the only way you can find a mentor that has been in the show world for the long haul....is well known with a great line and well respected. I am speaking from experience.
