I only give my girls 1/4 tsp total each day since they are 4 lbs. If one teaspoon is for a 25 lb dog, then to me 1/4 tsp would be appropriate. I started really small - less than 1/16 and gradually increased over about 3 weeks to the 1/4 tsp.
What I saw was a definite sheen to their coat as well as a much silkier feel. Good luck!!!
