Darn it! I knew I shouldn't have missed that meetup. I had to actually babysit my niece on my birthday, when I had made it clear to everyone that I wanted to go to that meetup this year. I was near to strangling my brother by the time he flew back to Houston. He comes down to 'celebrate my birthday' and ends up making everything about him, and what he wants to do. . .and 'BTW, Jess, you haven't seen your niece in a while. Spend some quality time with her while Mom and Dad take me downtown to see the Memorial!'
