Looks like you are already getting great advice!
I agree to "free feed" your baby. I have been cooking chicken and rice for them and mix in other things like veggies, cottage cheese and wet dog food - either Merricks canned or Evangers. So far I think we like Evangers a little more. We feed Innova dry puppy food as well.
Potty training....ah yes. Drives me nuts! You are supposed to start off confining her to a small area - say inside an xpen. Line it with pee pads and just don't let her have free run of the house - only with you. Actually what they say is to tether her to your belt loop with the leash. She goes EVERYWHERE with you! That way there are no "sneakys" - you will catch her when she starts to make a mistake and can take her to her potty spot. You slowly take away pee pads in the xpen until you are down to just one. I did not tether and I have a lot of mistakes with Truffles. I guess I should pratice what I preach! I did the xpen thing and then slowly gave her more room...like gated off the entire kitchen and then expanded to everywhere but the carpeted areas.
I take Vixxen EVERYWHERE with us. Always travel with her (I just got Truffles so she will also be coming along!), take her to the movies, out to eat ( I know this is wrong but she is in her purse), boating, everywhere!!
Oh I should say I am very much considering The Honest Kitchen diet also....it sounds very healthy and much easier than what I've been doing!!
