Hi everyone
!! I haven't written for awhile but I want everyone to know that I chose the name Piper for my
BABY BOY . He came home on the 9th and my life has been Heaven
for the past 11 days. I appreciate all your help in finding just the right name. The final decision came when I started finding myself referring to him in my mind and speaking about him as "Piper," so that settled it for me. His full AKC name will be "Mr. Brightside's Piper Cub." He is now 14 weeks old and is a Mommy's boy...although he LOVES spending most of his time playing with our Boxer and Chihuahua. They have become the Three Musketeers. But at quiet time or overnight he can usually be found cuddled up at my feet, next to me, or ON me
. I can now attest to the fact that Yorkies are amazing. He is almost fully trained to go outside, he can climb up the stairs (but not down-so I spend many moments saving him from the second floor), and up and over things that are in his way, and he jumps off the couch
, which scares his Mommy to no end. He takes no bull from anyone. When I brought him home and he saw our Boxer for the first time, he growled and lunged after him repeatedly. Poor Beo didn't know what to do and spent many hours fearful of my little furbaby. Was so funny to see
. Piper also refuses to eat his food but will eat the other dog's food, the cat's food, any food but NOT his own. Whenever he gets caught he gets yelled at by Mommy
so now Beowulf will fill HIS mouth with food and bring it to Piper and drop it in front of him so Piper can eat it that way without getting into trouble
. I believe he has Beo trained well. They all are the best of buds and I swear they conspire against us humans
The Vet says he is in perfect health and he weighed 2.5 lbs. at 13 weeks. I am in LOVE and wanted to share my GOOD news
I look forward to continuing to learn about mine and other's furbabies and to sharing more of my Piper with everyone!!
