We have one that we got before we ever had yorkies (we had other dogs), but when the whole family was home we talked too loud and it kept going off without the dogs even barking. Maybe it would work when no one was home and you were worried about barking. It is adjustable as to how sensitive it is, but we still set it off more than the dogs!
Maybe I will try it though (if I get time to dig it out) with the yorkies while everyone is gone and only I am home and it is quieter.
