Ok, my Brea has Leggs Perthe disease.
She sees the surgeon next week. She is going to be needing surgery.
I've already spent over $250.00 on x-rays, exams and pain meds - maybe even more. The surgery will be at least $1,000.
Should I tell the breeder about this? I know she told me that she does not have the mom any more so she isn't going to be breeding the same two again. Does she have any responsibility in this at all? Brea is only 6 months old - doesn't the breeder have some responsibility for diseases like this? Maybe not... I just don't know, that's why I'm asking. I'm not out to make trouble for her or anything, but I'm thinking of calling her after getting a final opinion form the surgeon.
