I'm due to get my puppy in a couple of weeks and I'd really like to have a plan together before then. I realize it may have to be tweaked along the way, but I'll be a lot less stressed if I know what I'm trying.

I work, but will be able to come home during lunch for a while. With the price of gas, I'd like to have that time be as short as possible.

My two choices are to put her in a crate all day or to put her in a large bathtub that we do not use. If I put her in a crate, I would not use the pads, I'd be taking her outside to pee. If I use the tub, she'll have room to play during the day, but she'll get used to using puppy pads. I'm hoping I could housebreak her totally after she got a little older.

In a perfect world, I'd love for her to learn that there's never a good time to potty in the house...ha!! But while I'm trying to minimize the stress on me, I'd like to minimize it on her as well.

Any suggestions????
