I sure know that feeling - trying to get everything in place before hand. Do you know if they are going to give you IV pain meds during the surgery or a block like I had? I would ask if I were you. The block was wonderful - no pain AT ALL for at least 12 hours. The IV meds wear off in a few hours and I don't think the pills help that much... Plus, the block gave my sister and her daughter something to really laugh about.
I just realized I don't remember coming home from the surgery center.
