So sorry for you - my two girls love each other and I hope it never changes but two previous dogs (Lhasa Apso and a yorkie) HATED each other and it is nervewracking I know as well as so upsetting to see your babies fight. Did this only start when you lost you Dalmation? Or did you have the pup after that? Pups DO hurt whilst playing and I can't believe how patient our Gypsy Rose is with Gizzie at times! (They are 18 months and 6 months) but the other day Gyps had enough and gently but firmly pinned Gizz down on her back and this worked, she wouldn't let her up until she'd calmed down - I didn't interfere at all, watched on in amazement ..! She was telling Gizzie that she was very patient, loved her but she was boss! Good luck I wouldn't separate them either unless you have to - they have to learn to get on and don't forget who the real boss is - YOU! Make sure they know this ...! Don't shout at them as dogs seem to take that as encouragement!! Praise them when they are good ...! |
