The spoken word sounds nice to the ear at the moment but the written word will let you sleep at night.
A contract is only as good as the people signing it! My first show female came from a show breeder.. The female came to me with a c-section scar and two grade 3 luxating patellas! Needless to say when I placed my signature on the contract I did it knowing I would follow it to the T.. To bad the show breeder did not have the same intentions! I learnt very early in this show world to kept my mouth shut.. What amazed me more than anything else was the other show breeders who stood up for her.. To top it off I have to look at her name in the YT magazine to often, lol! Glad my hard earned money could pay for the handler to show her dog to it's championship!

I would also like to add just because a dog is registered with AKC does not mean it meets the YTCA standard..
