I am so sorry you are going through this. I can completly relate to you. my husbands family hate me simply for the fact that i am with him they just don't like me nor do i like them it has caused a lot of stress and a lot of fights but we don't really talk to them now. i have 2 sons ages 2 and almost 7 and they use them as pawns to try to get their way i hate it. I know how hard it is to hold your tounge. My sugestion is this have a very long talk with your husband ask him if he supports you and or feels the same way you do about them being rude. he has to stand behind you and he has to stand up for you or you will get no respect. as long as he lets it go they will walk all over you. you have to stand as a united front. Once he understands that and you both agree to back eachother up you must confront the Mother in-law together and take it from there give her a choice she either respect you and treat you with kindness or she doesn;t have to be involved in your lives. if you do nothing it will not stop.
