I litter box trained my Yorkie. He was tiny (however, he is now 11lbs!! What happened?). Anyway, I tried the "litter" he ate it or would not walk on it. I basically peepad trained but in a litterbox. I cut the peepad to size in the litterbox (I used a plain cat litter box, it was little from Walgreens) I cut the one side down and got rid of rough edges, the way the puppy could "walk" into the box. He would move around and do his business. I would say he because 99pc successful, with occassional poos next to the litterbox. Eventually, he gave it up on his own, just stopped and from that point on went outside like the other dogs. Hes only had 2 accidents in my home since then and those were my own fault. My dh does not believe dogs should eliminate in the home, but it sure was nice while it lasted..
