I would feed him what he eats. Scrambled eggs are okay for them, even every day. My girls get yogurt daily and I home cook for them for their dinner meal. Just make sure you are using quality ingredients, don't add spices or butter (though a little olive oil is okay), boil meat, steam veggies. Since he likes soft food, home cooking might be the way to go for you. You can make a large batch and freeze weekly portions.
