Totally Agree. I have one of these "tinies". She is only four months old and I have spent almost $8,000 for her vet bills and will continue to for however long she lives. In my case, I knew exactly what I was getting into as she was released to me by a breeder who didn't think she would survive and didn't care.
If you purchase one of these dogs, you are just buying heartache. Please trust me on this. I have being doing rescues most of my life and know what it feels like to invest so much time, energy, and love in these little dogs only to have them pass away at a very young age. Don't take the chance. I would rather have a Yorkie who is healthy and happy then one of these tiny little ones who will be sick for the rest of their short lives. Yes, it is possible to get one of these small ones (below 3 lbs) who don't have any health problems but in my experience, they are in the minority. Are you willing to take such a big risk?
