It;s a matter of preference, what size of a Yorkie you want. People with kids look for a bigger pup.... Some want a tiny . I wanted to get a tiny myself (no more than 4 lbs...) and am VERY happy now that Pepper turned out to be a boisterous 6 pounder. He can do things I wouldn't let a tiny, but is still a very small dog and can fit in the same carrier as he did being 3-4 lbs... - or maybe I got stronger??
