Default Please Help, Aggression

Hello, we are new to this site. We just adopted Sierra a month and a half ago. She will be 2 May 4th. We had her spayed almost 2 weeks ago. Out of nowhere today while we were playing fetch my Maltese,(Tanner) 9 years old, Male, growled at her and she in return attacked him, and bit him in the eye and on the ear. As I was trying to pull her off of Tanner, he in return bit me. It all happened so fast. I saw blood and noticed Tanner had a very red rimmed eye and blood on his ear. I rushed him to the Vet. (Sierra was fine no damage done to her). The vet said his eye itself was not damaged but he basically got a black eye. It will swell and he is on an anti-inflammatory. His ear was just a scratch and will heal fine. Well, she suggested to keep the toys out of site for the both of them. Tanner only growls at her when we play fetch with her. Otherwise, they sit together, sleep together and she even sits on my hubbys or my lap with each other and she smells and licks his ears and vice versa.
We get back home and take a nap. when we wake up, they both jumped off the bed, I started to walk past them and told them to come on and Sierra jumped on Tanner and I had to again pry her off of him. he now has another puncture to his ear. I am in tears. I do not know what to do. Other than MAJOR training. PLEASE Someone help me. Please let me know what I can do to acclimate them again and not be afraid for her to just attack. She is a very sweet little girl. She just changed in 1 second. HELP.

Thank you,
