Katy used to do that too! I took a while but I kept rewarding her to keep the in. I would ask her if she wanted to go for a ride in the car or for a walk. She would bark and get excited. So, I would say you have to have your bow in. We would put the bow in, go for a walk or a ride in the car and she would forget that it was there.
Now when I ask her if she wants to go, she jumps up the the chair, puts her head down so she can get her bow in.
