Riley is a tiny girl with very skinny legs as well (which seem even skinnier because her hair grows very slowly). She was underweight at about 4 months of age, and I switched her from Nutro to Canidae. Her appetite picked up, and the vet is pleased with her weight now. She was 2.4 pounds right at 6 months which is good for her little frame.
