Of course, I would have kidney issues and diabetes ruled out (or anything else the vet suggests) but my JoJo has always had huge amounts of water. I was terrified that something was wrong with him but all tests came back normal.

The vet agrees it is a lot of water (about 17 ounces a day) but there is nothing medically wrong with him. She said for his energy level, 12 ounces would be expected. With all this drinking comes constant urination, so I would not attempt to train him outside. He goes a few times every hour and usually once during the night. Gotta love the wizdog (indoor potty system)!

We recently adopted Gucci and I can really see a difference. Gucci is almost 7 months old (2.5 months younger that JoJo) and urinates once every few hours and drinks a lot less water.
