 Hiding under the bed
I noticed last summer my poodle, Elvira, started hiding under the bed and sleeping there at night. I wondered if it was the heat. This is going to sound strange, but she was 12 years old so I asked my vet and she mentioned cognitive disorder in older dogs. I did some investigation into canine dementia. One of the things they mentioned was something in tap water, it may have been aluminum, that contributed to this condition. They suggested changing to bottled water. I did just that and within a day or so, she was back up on the bed. I buy the least expensiver bottled water and it seems to have made a difference. Every once in awhile she'll go under there but now she'll usually come back up. |
