 Behavior around People and other Dogs
Does anyone have suggestions on how I can calm my puppy when he is around other people and dogs? Our little Biggie is 15 weeks old. He is a doll and is extremely friendly around other people and other dogs. He is currently enrolled in Puppy class and has gone 4 times now. My only concern is that everywhere we take him, to stores, class, a walk around the neighborhood..he gets extremely excited when other people and dogs are around. His tail goes 100 miles a minute and tries to run towards them and desperately pulls on his leash. He really is sweet and just wants to say hello to the people and dogs, but I know it isn't a good thing, esp. with other dogs for him to go crazy and run up to them. Is there anything I can do to calm him down a bit? He gets so excited that he won't listen to the "sit" or "calm" command. Thanks! |
